WOYWW 460 - Easter crafting

Good morning to you all in various places around the world.  It is WOYWW, so here I am to share some photos of my craft room.  If you would like to join in, go HERE

I had plans to make some more intricate cards for Easter - involving dies/Scan n Cut, stamping etc etc.  However, I then left it too late as usual, so yesterday I showed my ability to get creative and get some simpler cards made.

I had bought some Easter/daffodil stamps recently, so used one with a Stazon inkpad and watercolour on top.  The cute felt rabbits are from The Works, and the paper underneath came from a pad that I have had for years (slowly using up stash!).

I designed inserts in Serif CraftArtist - and I had 7 cards made within one hour.

Of course, I remembered one more person since then, so will get another card made today.

Here is my crafty table right now.

There is one Easter bunny waiting to go in the post.  The Joanna Sheen magazine (with dies/stamps/embossing folder) that I was using to plan the more complicated card.  Cheap watercolour paper used to mop up the watercolour leftover from painting the daffodils.  Plastic palette knives that I use to apply glue.  Some Christmas scraps that need to be put in the relevant stash box.  Watercolours left to dry yesterday.  Other paper scraps from my mixed media session last week - and you can just see the other cute Easter papers.

I am attempting to rest more today, as had a busy day yesterday (shopping, bank etc) - and my foot pain flared up a lot last night.  There is a lot to do around the house, but really trying to stop myself attempting to do too much.

Hope that everyone is well and happy.

  2. Good morning, Ali. Pretty cards. Sometimes the 'last minute' are the best. :-) Please don't over-do. I have the same issue. I get on a tear and the next thing you know, I'm in the recliner with my feet up and using my left arm as little as possible. But I have so much to show for it LOL. Creative Blessings! Kelly #29

  4. Your desk always looks so organised Alison, but I am beginning to realise that you are an organised person.
When I am moved house I will join in with WOYWW but my desk will look nothing like yours lol becauseI tend to work in (dis)organised chaos 😜 I hope that you are resting & not doing to much of the dreaded 'H' word 💞 xx

  5. Well, those Easter cards are bright and breezy! I'm happy that you seem to be enjoying using your Scan & Cut and doing other crafting too. Not so happy to hear that you're in pain though, I know it's a tough condition to manage, you do so well in carrying on with life as normal.
And Pembroke Castle is a beauty - we went there last year for Rhys' 21st and had a fab time, haven't been to Carew or manorbier for donkeys' years though.

  7. Hi Ali, hope the foot is improving. So very easy to overdo things without realising. My back ached like mad after spending half of Monday clearing old plants out of my planters! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX

  11. This is why I don't make seasonal/special occasion cards or projects - inevitably, I would be late and/or lack inspiration and then it would just feel like a chore. You did very well though in such short amount of time and at least you made good use of that lovely stamp. Happy Easter! zsuzsa #11
