WOYWW 456 - a messy desk

Happy WOYWW to you all - this is 'What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday' and you can join in HERE.

By the time you read this, my crafty table will be tidy, but I have a busy morning planned for Wednesday (leaving by 7.30 am to take our farm truck for its MOT) so I am sharing the mess created whilst making some ATCs today (Tuesday).

I am helping to do admin for a new Facebook Group (Little Marvel Mondays), which has a weekly challenge to link up photos of your ATC(s) for the given theme.  Our first week's theme is 'Time'.  Come and join in.  There is no pressure, no commitment, no prizes - just sharing our joy of making some miniature art.  (We are also looking for more team members.)

My table shows the various stash that is needed to create a design that measures 3.5 x 2.5" !!

This is a close up of that card

I tried a new copper embossing powder (I love anything copper).

This afternoon I started learning how to use the design element of using a Brother Scan n Cut, which is making my brain work.  I have also started to do some knitting after a break of several years.  Surprisingly for me I am actually remembering the basics.  I found an easy project in a magazine - a cute dog.  I will share some pictures next week (or keep an eye out on my Instagram - @iamaliwade).

Well I had better get this scheduled and get to bed - part of my symptoms at the moment are struggling in the mornings more with stiffness/fatigue, so it will be interesting tomorrow having to be out so early - the cold will wake me up!  We had hardly any snow here, as usual, but more is forecast for Thursday/Friday.  I hope everyone is coping.

Ali x

    1. I have changed it to the Simple theme, so more readable. Apologies - I should have checked the mobile theme myself before publishing.

  6. A lovely little ATC - I love the copper embossing. It sounds like a good idea, I shall try and join in but probably not this week as the fan heater in my studio just isn't coping with this level of cold at the moment!
    Keep warm,

  7. The cold is a crippler, and no matter how cold you know it is it feels colder. Read on FB that you haven't had to turn out this morning, but nevertheless, I think some gentle warm up exercises to keep the muscles going would help if you have to go out. The palsy side of my face is so much worse in this sort of cold, I can barely speak well enough to make myself understood!! Well done with the scan and cut, I'm still fiddling rather than diving in, must make more time!

  11. I hate the cold and yearn for a return to warm weather and that less bundled up feeling from layering. Have to rush off as I am getting called to do something , not sure what.

  15. Sent a request - love me my ATCs, not that anyone would know lol
It's surprising how much stash gets used making the gorgeous works of art. Feel a bit inspired by your copper embossing ..... may have to go try it!

  16. really busy desk! I love the copper and metal embossing powders too! The Ten Second Studios came out with a paint several years ago that I love to use too! I need motivation! I seem to have sunk down into a funk sticky as molasses! I am going to join the Little Marvel Monday group and see what I can do. Really frustrating that I can't focus or do any of my art stuff for a consistent length of time anymore...I have a Cricut and lots of cartridges but have never really learned to use it efficiently...now they have gone from the cartridges to all online stuff...I am a dinosaur in a lost age. Sorry I am so late getting around but it has been and interesting week here! Vickie #32
