WOYWW 394 - lettering practice

Firstly, Merry Christmas to all those that I do not manage to visit this week.  As usual, I have been too busy for the past few days - and hit a flare up of symptoms last night.  Today, will hopefully be spent in front of the tv or in my craft room - but I do need to get presents wrapped, house cleaned etc, etc before the weekend.  Can we have another week?!

I have not spent a lot of time in my craft room in the past 7 days, and most of that time has been on my pc sorting out new software.  However, I did get round to practising the lettering I want to put in my bible (which will be done today) and starting on my new Donkey colouring book.

Lettering notebook, pencil, eraser and a pack of pens I found in my cupboard (the brush one is particularly lush!), my cheap WH Smith colour pencils, the colouring book (which I got from Amazon) and my box of metallic pens.

As we rush towards the end of this year, I am, as usual, having a hard time trying to not tell myself off for not completing all the crafty stuff I had on my 'To Do List'.  I am sure many of you are the same.  I accept that I put too much pressure on myself, am far too ambitious as to how much I can realistically achieve - and that will hopefully change next year.  I have only signed up for Life Book 2017 - link in my sidebar (which is an affiliate link and there is still a 20% discount available off the already very low price).  This will be more than enough for me - in time and skills learnt.  My bible journaling/lettering will fill in the gaps.

Go on over to Stamping Ground to join in with this weekly tour around crafty blogs.

Ali x

  1. Good looking desk and well done on the lettering practice - my lettering used to be much better (working in a drawing office like I did) but lapsed with the ease of computers!

    Seasons Greetings and Happy WOYWW

  5. Wonderful lettering. I want to do more of that next year, but, like you, I have a lot of things on my crafty list that I wanted to get done or plan on doing next year. I want to enjoy things not want to feel under pressure to get them done. It is expectations that I put on myself. The colouring book looks interesting.

    Happy WOYWW

  6. Your lettering looks wonderful something I need to work on as well! Hope you are feeling better, your day in front of the TV coloring and lettering sounds perfect to me! I also have a long list of things to do (as we all do this time of year), I just need to prioritize, and what doesn't get done will probably only get noticed by me! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas! Lindart #28

  15. Hi Ali, it's a busy time, isn't it. Love your gorgeous lettering and I look forward to seeing it in your Bible! I see you are a Really Useful Boxes fan like me. Thanks for your visit and nice comment - glad you like my pages - the copper one does seem to be the most popular this week! I haven't done a lot this week but did some stencilling this afternoon. The new finger splints have come and they are brilliant but I've had to take them off to type as it's quite impossible - several typos in every word with the right hand! I can whip the splints on and off in double quick time when I want to do anything or get my hands wet, which is much better than the tape. The joint has improved slightly, I think. Sorry you've had another flare this week.

Have a lovely time over Christmas and happy belated WOYWW,
