WOYWW 203

For those who do not know what WOYWW stands for, take a trip over to Julia's blog, Stamping Ground, and she will explain all the details.

I hope you enjoyed that trip and will be joining in with us on our tour around crafty workspaces each week.

I have been busy with crafting this week.  Various cards and notecards finished, my latest cross stitch project nearly finished ....

Here are some piccies -

My almost-finished stitching project.  The next project is
bought (well, the chart) and will be started soon.

The end of my desks where everything gets piled up!
Shows the gorgeous Kanban card and Papermania glitter vellum that
jumped into my shopping bag at our local craft shop yesterday.
Plus the cheap set of colouring pencils from WH Smith - they
may be cheap, but lovely
 selection of colours.

The other end of my desks next to my PC.
Various finished cards (2 of which are swap cards from other
very talented crafters), one nearly-finished card,
and my cute Momjii.

Happy WOYWW to all those that I do not manage to visit.

One Spring Day

There has been a bit of a gap in my challenge-entering.

This is a super-cute Spring theme card.  Using the 'Washing Line' digistamp from http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/.  I inserted this into my Serif Craft Artist 2 Professional software and used the 'One Spring Day' digikit to create the gorgeous background.  After printing onto cream card, I coloured in the stamp with my Spectrum Noir pens (TN2, TN3, TN5, TN6) and Anna Griffin watercolour pens.

I entered this into the Stamping Dragons Fun Challenge 3 on Facebook - Stamping Dragon Designs

WOYWW 202

I was tempted to 'do a Julia' and not post a photo this week.  As a digital crafter, and one who has been sorting out all the non-craft related stuff on her desk this week, there really isn't much of interest on my desk.    (Julia at her fab blog, Stamping Ground, hosts a weekly desk-hop.  Join in or just take a tour around the crafty world.)

However, here it is - taken this morning when it was still relatively dark outside.  I am in the process of finishing a birthday card for a friend.  I broke into my wonderful Anna Griffin Paper Weaving Kit to make the background - and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the 3D flower.  The big pink spotty box holds all my gems/brads/other embellies.  The latest Crafters Companion 'magazine' (which is actually a wonderfully bumper collection with stamps, CD-Rom, beads, papers, cardstock and embossing folder) awaits my further attention.  On top of that are the Anna Griffin Watercolour Markers (you see a collection developing - shame she doesn't do CD-Roms or digikits!), which arrived from QVC yesterday.  Gorgeous colours.

Happy WOYWW to everyone.  I didn't manage to get round as many desks as I wanted last week.  The farmhouse renovation is taking more of our time up - what with tiles/bathrooms/kitchen/wooden flooring/hot tub/blinds/carpets ........ to choose.  We should be moving in July, so it is not too far off, but at the moment I would be quite happy to say to the builder, "You choose everything"!

Go to the blog, http://lowertancredston.blogspot.co.uk, to see all the latest photos.

However, with my new tablet (a cheapie from Ideal World), I can do more blog commenting in the evenings and plan to visit a lot more of you this week.

WOYWW 201

I was MIA last week, due to rushing about getting the caravan/house/animals ready for our weekend away.  Why does 2 nights away involve so much work, both before leaving and when we get back?!

We did enjoy our time away though, with some fab walks in beautiful countryside - puts Pembrokeshire to shame.  I saw a beautiful cottage with some land for sale right up in the mountains - but actually only a few miles from the nearest village - would buy it if I won the Lottery!  I was proud of myself - managed a long and strenuous walk in a forestry area, and then a tour of the Gold Mine that we were staying at.  This involved some very steep steps and the actual underground part (and I can get claustrophobic).  They did have to get a spare guide to come and escort me out, as the rest of the group were going out via a very difficult set of ladders and steep walkways.  I knew my body would not be able to cope with that.

If anyone is visiting Carmarthenshire, here is the link to the mine -

Dolaucothi Gold Mines

We stayed in the caravan site, which is literally just across the road - and is very peaceful and friendly.

When we returned, I then had the double job of unpacking the caravan, catching up with washing etc - and getting the house ready for guests.  My husbands 'kids' (who are 20 and 22 now) and their partners, so I had both spare rooms to clear out and make beds up, and make the rest of the house a bit more presentable.  Oh well, at least I was left with a clean house after they left yesterday - and I spent some enjoyable time in my craft room finally.

This is my desk this morning.  A sweet shaped card made from designs printed off from the new Crafters Companion Frou Frou CD-Rom - which is wonderful, and well worth getting, as well as the digikits.  You can also see a New Home card waiting to be folded and the insert added.  I designed this using my Serif Craft Artist 2 Professional software and various digikits.

I am busy with swaps over at Swap Bot again, so today will be spent making notecards and a Horse ATC for 3 of the 7 swaps I am signed up for at the moment.

Another piccie showing the hedge in front of the farmhouse and some lovely spring flowers.

Happy WOYWW to all those that I do not manage to leave a comment for.

DT card - Ladybug Crafts

This is my 2nd DT card for Ladybug Crafts.  The theme for April's challenge is Spring.

My card was made using free materials that came with this month's 'Making Cards' magazine, as well as a doily, ladybird embellie, gems and mirriboard from stash, plus Kanban stamps.

A lovely fresh birthday card for this time of year.
