I am late with my post today.  Pain is worse than usual, due to riding my pony for 10 minutes yesterday.  I enjoyed the ride, but was it worth it?  At least I am being forced to sit in my craft room and catch up with blogging etc!!

I am not sure if there is anyone left in the world who doesn't know what WOYWW is - but take a visit to Julia's Stamping Ground for more details and the Mister Linky list.

My photo shows my first attempt at cutting vinyl with my fab Silhouette Cameo.  It is the start of a graduation card for my stepson (he got a 2.1 in Computer Science from Bangor), and a 'Just Because I Love the Design'.  The scrapbook page above is the result of the Wacky Wednesday Challenge over at  You follow a list of additions each week and by the end of the month you have a finished page.  Brilliant for total beginners like me.

Hope that everyone is well and enjoying their crafting.

House of Bears Monthly Literary Challenge - Jane Eyre

Surprisingly (probably due to moving house soon and wanting to get everything sorted), I am actually reasonably early with my entry for the House of Bears latest Monthly Literary Challenge.

This month my furry friends have kindly selected my favourite book, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

I spent some time going through it looking for a suitable quote - and chose this one -

"Even for me life had its gleams of sunshine."

My digital page was already designed in my head.  I didn't want to go for the obvious sunshine coming through the darkness, so a bright and beautiful butterfly flew onto the page.

We all keep saying it, but where do the weeks go?  This Friday is the longest day of the year, and the shopping channels are full of Christmas crafting.  Another Wednesday brings many of us to Julia's Stamping Ground, where we can link up with other crafty bloggers and show off our workspaces.

My desk is not particularly creative at this time today - but I hope to be doing some digital crafting later, and also attempting to cut fabric with my Silhouette Cameo for the first time.

A Baby Onesie card I cut with my Cameo, my latest cross stitch chart, which I
hope to start later, and an embossing folder plus Photoshop which I bought
from a lady on the Crafty Sellers Facebook group.
I hope everyone is well and happy.  My pain levels have been worse recently, probably because of the colder/damp weather - but it is meant to be warm and sunny today, and I may well get out in the garden to do some more trimming (our rented house has a large garden and we spend a lot of time trying to keep the grass/weeds under control).  I won another prize with one of our local craft shops this week (a Hunkydory kit), so will probably go into town later to collect it.
Happy WOYWW to all those that I do not manage to visit (our internet is restricted at the moment, so can't do as much on the computer as I would like).

Another week has gone by and it is time to share a photo of my workspace for Julia's WOYWW (What is On Your Workspace Wednesday).  You can find further details and a list to add your link to HERE

My desks are lacking any crafty action this morning - mainly just stash that is for sale and my in tray etc, so I am showing the two large boxes I have packed already in preparation for our move over to the farmhouse next month (for those who have not been following the renovation, take a look at the blog Lower Tancredston).  Not very exciting, sorry!

The boxes were bought from Depaul Box Company -
supporting their work with the homeless youth.
Just to show that I do some crafting, here is the card I have made for my Dad -

Wednesday, 5 June 2013

The excitement of the 4th Birthday is slowly fading, but I do have 5 wonderful ATCs to add to my collection.  For any WOYWW-beginners, take a trip over to Julia's Stamping Ground, and she will explain more and provide the Linky to the list of workspaces all around the world.

Here they are -

(The top 2 have sneaked in - I made these!  They are for a Sugar Skull ATC swap with Swap Bot)

Middle Row from left - Robyn in the US, Roudi in Egypt (how international am I?!)

Bottom Row from left - Lottie, Jill, Laura.

Thank you so much - they look gorgeous together.

My desks are generally very messy, as I am busy getting stuff ready to post (still selling on Ebay), ordering stuff for the Farmhouse, trying to sort out paperwork whilst hubby is away on a mountain biking trip, finishing off craft projects etc, etc.

However, the new furry addition to our family, Hamish the Bear, has escaped and is making friends with Panda/Cow/Mouse/Tortoise/Donkey and Enid.

They are safely on top of my paper/card storage unit.
Happy WOYWW to all those I do not manage to visit.  Hope that you are getting some of this wonderful sunshine - I even managed to get some shorts on yesterday and sit out in the garden!

A big beary welcome to little Hamish

I used to collect bears in a former life - and after finding myself exploring some beary blogs/websites last week, I suddenly found myself adopting a little bear called Hamish!!

He was created by Amanda Ferguson @ Honey Pot Bears.  Go and take a look, she is incredibly talented and really brings out their individual characters.  Not just bears - I love the elephants and dogs.

After the postman brought him and his little travelling box to the door, I took a series of photos to show him emerging into his new home.

Isn't he cute??!!

Only about 5" when seated.

I am sure that other beary friends will be joining him soon.

A 'Bear' Giveaway

For all fellow 'bear fans', Rita @ RMG Creations is very generously giving away her wonderful little miniature bear, Victoria.  Rita used to be a British Bear Artist, but after breaking her wrist she was unable to cope with the hand stitching.  She has coped with stitching in this smaller scale, so we can now benefit from her fantastic creations again.

This is Victoria -

Once Rita has 200 followers she will be selecting the lucky person to give Victoria a new home.

Please follow her blog and share these details, so we don't have to wait too long!!

For the Men in our Lives

It is the first day of another month, so it is time for a new challenge over at Ladybug Crafts.

The theme this month is For the Men in our Lives.  (Don't forget it is Fathers Day in the UK on 16th June.)  You can enter any papercraft project - a card, scrapbook page, ATC, tag ......  The prize is a £15 voucher to spend in the Ladybug Crafts store, so get crafting and we look forward to seeing all of your entries.

My first inspiration card is a quick digital creation - using one of the new Purple Ronnie digikits (who remembers these quirky designs from our past??!).  I will be posting further cards throughout the month, as I treated myself to a big paper pad yesterday, The Boyhood Stack from DCWV.  So many fab designs - and I also have some new digikits that are male-themed.

I also enter this into -

A Creative Need - #7, For The Men

Brown Sugar Challenge - #44, Masculine Birthday

Paper Crafting Journey - Masculine Cards
