WOYWW 206 & Blog Candy Winner

Firstly, Sandy @ Lonely Cards - you are the lucky random winner of the blog candy I offered last week (the stencils and tape).  Congratulations.  Get in touch with your snail mail address and they will be on their way to you soon.

Secondly, WOYWW stands for What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday - and is where us crafters join together at Julia's fab blog, Stamping Ground, on a Wednesday and share photos of our workspaces. It is fun and addictive, so come along and join in.

I am a bit over-stressed by life at the moment, both physically and mentally (so much going on with the farmhouse, the business, general life - and my health just makes everything more of a struggle), so this will be a short post.

My picture shows the cute gorilla that is now living on my desk.  I kept seeing the adverts for adopting a gorilla through WWF and this month I decided that I could spare £5 in order to help save this wonderful species.  The toy is part of the adoption pack and is super-cute, just like a real gorilla baby.

You can also see my notebook on its deckchair stand, with my current favourite card (a wonderful Lurcher) - sorry, I forget the name of the artist!

Happy WOYWW to all those that I do not manage to visit.

Ali x

  1. I have seen the adverts I was watching with Charlotte who you often see crafting on my blog and she asked me if this year she could do this instead of having a birthday present for her 8th birthday

  3. Hi there! Thanks for visiting already and leaving such nice comments! Honestly, if I can learn crochet off YouTube, anyone can. I watched a tutorial, then paused and did the stitch...over and over. The blanket I've shown is the simplest stitch possible, no fancy stuff..it's just the colours of the yarn makes it look more than it actually is! The thing I like most is how quickly it grows.
I adore that picture of the lurcher...the artist has really captured that Facing into the Wind look they have :-)

  22. Oh I won will send you off an email but I totally understand if I am to far away the postage can be rather expensive to Australia.. It was a big thrill to win though and the stencils look awesome.. Your gorilla looks so cute and for the price it was a rather reasonable donation when you get him as well. Hope things settle down on the farm for you soon. I have just been given 15 2 week old chickens they are so cute but quite a lot to look after at the moment we have had a bit of a cold snap and keeping the temperature at the right thing is a bit of a challenge. I will have to put some pictures on my blog.

  25. Your "baby" gorilla looks to have settled in nicely - bet he's soon covered in glitter and bits of paper though the minute you start crafting. I hope things are going to plan for you and that your health allows you to do what you want to do.
