I have only been participating in this weekly tour of crafty workspaces for just over a year, but it is already an almost-essential part of my week.  I missed last week due to being away with the caravan, but I did go and visit some desks quietly.

Today is the 4th Anniversary of when Julia first asked other crafters to link up with pictures of their workspaces on her blog, Stamping Ground.  As part of the celebration, we are swapping ATCs.  I have already posted to Roudi in Egypt and Robyn in the US.  I have one left and that will go to the next person on the linky list who is participating in the swap.

Back to the usual business - I have 2 rather boring desk shots this week.  I tidied up yesterday, and I do not do interesting/messy/inky crafting, so there is not a lot to see.

The paper/card storage unit directly in front of my work mat.
Mantlepiece behind with various photos/swap goodies etc.
Cuddly toys.  My very useful ruler/paper tearing tool.  Some tags
that came off with a recent clothing purchase.  Other stuff !!

The other desk which my PC sits on.
A card made with my Silhouette Cameo and new foiling machine.
Pile of CD-Roms waiting to be listed on Ebay (still
having my big clear out ready for moving).
Printer with some Cameo goodies (new glitter pens etc) on top.
Happy WOYWW to all those I do not manage to visit.

House of Bears Literary Challenge

The lovely bears very kindly gave us another month to get their latest Literary Challenge completed, but I am still very near the deadline!

The book, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott was chosen by them - and they provided a list of quotes to use for inspiration.

which I am - not all of the time, that would be just too exhausting, but there are so many things that frustrate me.  Whether my health, being an adult, something on the news, a documentary, a neighbour, animal cruelty/neglect .......  I could go on, but we all have lots of crafting/blogging to do!

Here is my journal page -

I used the Watch Out digikit from (designed by ViolaMoni),
the Urban Youth digikit from Serif and the Baron Kuffner font.

Take a trip over to the House of Bears and read more about the challenge, look at the other entries and add your own.  You have 3 days left!!

WOYWW 206 & Blog Candy Winner

Firstly, Sandy @ Lonely Cards - you are the lucky random winner of the blog candy I offered last week (the stencils and tape).  Congratulations.  Get in touch with your snail mail address and they will be on their way to you soon.

Secondly, WOYWW stands for What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday - and is where us crafters join together at Julia's fab blog, Stamping Ground, on a Wednesday and share photos of our workspaces. It is fun and addictive, so come along and join in.

I am a bit over-stressed by life at the moment, both physically and mentally (so much going on with the farmhouse, the business, general life - and my health just makes everything more of a struggle), so this will be a short post.

My picture shows the cute gorilla that is now living on my desk.  I kept seeing the adverts for adopting a gorilla through WWF and this month I decided that I could spare £5 in order to help save this wonderful species.  The toy is part of the adoption pack and is super-cute, just like a real gorilla baby.

You can also see my notebook on its deckchair stand, with my current favourite card (a wonderful Lurcher) - sorry, I forget the name of the artist!

Happy WOYWW to all those that I do not manage to visit.

WOYWW 205 - with candy

I wonder how many people will forget that it is Wednesday today.  I spent most of Monday thinking it was Sunday, and then yesterday was definitely Monday!!  On the farm we do not have a special routine for bank holidays, so I shouldn't be thinking that - but it was still very confusing for my little brain.

Pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground for further details why Wednesdays are so important to me and many other crafters.

On my desk this week there is a fab envelope from Donna, who was my partner in the SwapBot Elephant ATC swap.  Not just a wonderful envie, using gorgeous double-sided paper, but 2 ATCs, 2 ATC blanks, a sweet Eeyore chipboard and a lovely pocket card to hold them all.  How lucky am I?

I started to pack this week.  We will be moving to the Farmhouse in July, and I wanted to get going with filling boxes in plenty of time.  I can only do a bit each day, so this way I will not make myself ill closer to the moving date.  Obviously I started in my craft room and already have one large box filled up with stash that I do not need day-to-day.  I filled another box with stash for charity, and that went to a lovely lady who makes cards for our local hospital.  I have found an area of carpet that hasn't seen daylight for years!

As part of the clearout, I found these -

I have already sold the glitter mediums, so really do not need these to sit in a drawer unused anymore.  Therefore, I am offering them as BLOG CANDY.  Just leave a comment and I will do a random draw next Tuesday.
ps  There is also a roll of stencil tape to accompany them.
Happy WOYWW to all those that I do not manage to visit.

Jack Russell

When I saw the new Ooh La La Creations CD-Rom  on Create & Craft, 'Faithful Friends', I had to buy it (it is cheaper direct from the website).  There are a wonderful selection of images - with lots of different dog breeds.

As a proud owner of a Jack Russell  Terrier, I chose this really sweet topper to design my card around.  I used a JR image from the Silhouette Store to create the background (one dog, filled in and then copied to make into rows) and then printed this out.

The verse, 'Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole - Roger Caras', was also on the CD-Rom, and I tied a little bit of ribbon from stash through the top.

Nuts About You

I am very quickly becoming a Silhouette Cameo addict - and when I saw the 'Nuts About You' phrase on their store, I knew I had to use it on a birthday card for my hubby.  I found a cute squirrel design to go with it, as well as some leaves.  The background paper is from my scraps folder - I think it was printed from a CD-Rom, but no idea which one!  I actually cut it all out on white card, and then coloured with my Spectrum Noir pens.

Ladybug Crafts - Get Well Soon

It is the first day of a new month, so time for the next challenge over at Ladybug Crafts.  The theme is Get Well Soon - always a useful addition to my cards drawer.  The challenge is open until the end of the month, and the winner will get a voucher to spend in the shop.

My inspiration for this month was mainly created with my Silhouette Cameo machine.  Just a lonely piece of embossed card completed it.  It turned out to be a large card, so perfect for brightening up the wall in a hospital.

I cannot believe it is Wednesday already, and a new month!  Time is flying by and soon we will be moving into the farmhouse.  Take a look at the blog for regular updates - Lower Tancredston (ooh, got sidetracked there looking through the posts - so interesting to see the progress!).

Back to reason for this post.  WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday is the baby of Julia @ Stamping Ground.  You can go there for more details and a long list of desks to look at.

At this very moment my desks are looking a bit tidier after spending some time yesterday going through my 'In Tray' and actually doing something with the contents.  As you can see, there is still a large pile of magazines waiting for me to enter the competitions (I won another prize this month - but it turned out to be the same prize as I had the previous month with another magazine!  Oh well, lots more to go to the charity shop).  I am doing a lot more with my Silhouette Cameo at the moment.  May be something to do with the fact that there is a half price sale in their store until tomorrow, and I upgraded to their top monthly subscription (I pay £15 per month and get £200 to spend in the store) so have lots of money to spend.  Having a lot of fun filling up my design library.  It is such a wonderful machine and I am always saying that everyone should have one.  Why spend a fortune on Spellbinders etc, when I can cut out any shape, in any size.  The designs in the store are normally only 65p each anyway, with a freebie every week (and I have found other sources of free designs on the internet), and you can also do your own designs.  I am not much of a maths expert, but it doesn't make sense to fill your craft rooms with dies.

Have a fabulous crafty week and Happy WOYWW to all those that I do not manage to comment on.  I may actually get some more time on the pc this week, as my hip bursitis has flared up again and I am being forced to rest.  Typical, when the sunshine finally appears and I want to be getting on with training my pony for driving, and there is a caravan to clean out/housework etc, etc.  I am coming to the conclusion that I think that my riding days are over, so hoping to get a Saddlechariot as soon as possible - see some photos HERE.  It will be wonderful to be able to get out and about on 2 wheels.

When I cut out a particular design on the Cameo, I always
fill up the paper/card with other random designs to put in my folder for
future use.  The caravans are actually one of my very few
physical stamps.  Again, I stamped a few out when making a notecard for
a swap - and they are coloured with my new pencils ready for
a future project.

The 3rd card was made by another crafter and sent to me as part of
a monthly swap on a Facebook group.  It is so pretty.
The other cards are made with a mixture of digistamps, digikits and the Cameo.
