WOYWW 195 (with Candy)

I am not prepared for this Wednesday morning when we do our regular link up with crafters around the world and show off our workdesks.  Stamping Ground is the blog that you need to click on and add your link to the list.

No photo taken of anything interesting happening in my craft room.  I have done some shopping this week - another new CD-ROM (the Linda Ravenscroft 'Fairy Gemstones'), a sweet 6x6 paper pad and some fabric button brads from Wilkinsons (only went in for some more dolly pegs to finish sorting out my ribbons and came out with a large bag full - why does that always happen in that shop??) and a cross stitching magazine - but I have been sort of organised and already put all that away.

I resorted to taking a photo of my cross stitching (some progress made, but not as much as I wanted - had a busy week sorting out the farmhouse renovation and meeting with the bank manager yesterday) and the Linda Ravenscroft CD-Rom.

I promise to take some more interesting piccies next week!!

Ria, unfortunately, is unable to go to the NEC, so I redrew and Lisa from ' Lisa Sparkle and Stamps' is the lucky winner.

[The random generator drew out No.13 for last week's Blog Candy - a pair of tickets to the Hobbycrafts show at the NEC next month.

That person is Ria Gall.  Get in touch with your address, Ria, and I will post the tickets onto you.]

The Blog Candy for this week is a set of Toreads Rubber Stamps: Xeru, Buddles and Aurora.
Really cute images.  As usual, for my Candy, just leave a comment and you will be in the draw next Tuesday night.

Rubbish photo - light in the craft room at 6 am is not good!

Happy WOYWW to everyone that I do not manage to visit.

    1. Thanks for your comment, Janene. Give cross stitch a go. It really is easy and so relaxing to do. If you are going to be at the Crop in June, then I can bring some along for you to have a go at. I have a blog for the Farmhouse Renovation - lots of photos - lowertancredston.blogspot.com Ali x

  3. Congratulations to Ria on her win.
Love that picture of the girl's head - she looks like a May Queen.
Cross stitch is something I have never done but always admired when I have seen samples at shows. Such beautiful pictures.

  4. I used to love to cross stitch and made a lot of wall hangings/pictures but at 60ish I am having too much problems with arthritic hands and not being able to hold on to the needle. Looking forward to seeing the piece. I started taking a course on drawing fairies a while back and had to drop out. A lot of work to make them look right! Hope you have a great week and thanks for sharing with us! Vickie #39

  7. I used to cross stitch but the only thing I ever finished was a superman logo I gave to my favorite basketball player since he was sporting a tattoo of that logo... Other than that, I never really finished anything, not to mention I failed home economics when I was in elementary because I had no patience to finish a pattern...
I envy you. You can make beautiful patterns come to life...
    Happy Wednesday,.

  10. I must remember when I next go into town to go into Wilkinson and get some of those pegs.

CD-ROM looks good. Never really got into digital crafting. Don't you use a lot of ink in your printer?

    Loving the stitching.

    Enjoy your new stash.

  16. Lovely cross stitch. I avoid Wilko's and pund shops now, I just know I'm going to come home with 'bargains' and I rarely do more with them than shoe horn them into a cupboard!

  17. I love how your needle work is coming. I tried to do it when I was a young lady and I rapidly learned I was not good at it and made one pillow case and gave up. Mom is still waiting for the mate of the one I did 30 years ago..ha. Love the images of the rubber stamps. So whimsical! Have a great week! Winnie#91

  22. LOL! As you may recall I have been in a frenzy of tidying. One thing I ran across was a sampler I started for a cousin who was getting married...about 12 years ago. I think my Mom told me the couple has recently divorced, so I guess there is no need to finish it LoL! Hope yours goes better.

    Happy WOYWW
