For those who do not know what WOYWW is ...

Sorry, forgot to add an link to Julia's blog - the wonderful lady who keeps our mid-weeks interesting and something to look forward to.

She started doing what we all dreamed of - taking a look at other workspaces and generally being nosy!

Every Wednesday we take photo(s) of our workspaces and put a post on our blogs with WOYWW in the title.  We link to Julia's blog and then get to spend the week looking at what everyone else is upto.

Get involved, or just spectate.

WOYWW - my first!

Well, here it is.  My very untidy and cluttered worktable (hubby actually suggested that I get another table, which I will do soon).  I have just finished a Mothers Day card for my mum - and now going to be making a set of notelets to give her.

I do know where everything is in the room - it is a big room, luckily - and it is sort of organised to make crafting easy.  However, when I get some spare time I will be having a clear out.

We will be moving to the farmhouse across the road when it has been renovated, and then I will have a craft room with proper storage (rather than the old chest of drawers/plastic boxes etc I have now).

My cross stitching stash/yarns etc are in archiving boxes, and I would love for them to be in a nice cupboard.

Look forward to seeing your workspaces later today when I get back on-line - need to go shopping after walking the dogs (need more hours in the day).

A random post No.1

I had been thinking about starting another Blog to deal with the other parts of my life - but kept coming up with so many different other topics, ie Fibromyalgia, running, ponies, dogs, guinea pigs, F1 ........

However, I would then be spending ALL day adding posts/editing!

Therefore, I will just lump everything together under Random Posts, and whenever I feel the need to type about something, then I will.

Right now, I feel the need to talk about bread. Well, handmade bread. Had a fantastic Panasonic breakmaker for years until it finally died last year. Have been buying shop bread since then, but even the baked-instore stuff is not that good. So a few days ago I bought some bread flour and dusted down my bread tins. Wow - forgot how good it tastes and much nicer to know what has gone into it. Will be replacing the breadmaker soon, but for now I spend 10 minutes per day making a loaf.

Must get off this computer now. and make a sandwich

My first Stamp Man ATC Swap

Found The Stamp Man by just putting ATC Swap into Google.  At first I was not very confident about joining the swaps, as the standard of crafting is so amazingly high.  However, I had a stamp in mind to use (from Kanban), and at the last minute I got some inspiration to get crafting.

I have used the same stamp, but created 3 different ATCs.  What do you think?

I have wanted to use this stamp for ages - it is so peaceful.

I used Distress Inks, Promarkers/Le Plume pens, backing paper from stash and the Debbi Moore Designs 'Pretty In Pink' CD-Rom, and some pearls/gems from stash.  The stamps used to make the background on the faded ATC are also Kanban.

Safari theme - well he did go to Kenya on holiday once

I used one of my Debbi Moore Designs CD-Roms - Stitch & Friends on Safari - to make a birthday card for a friend's hubby.  I love Stitch and the colours on the CD-Rom are gorgeous.  They went to Kenya on holiday (2 years ago I think?), so any excuse to make a card on this theme.

I printed out one of the Pyramid Toppers and then the giraffe print paper for a backing paper.  Matted and layered onto some of the wonderful card from my Kanban Bumper Box of Card & Paper.  A simple little card - but I like it.

I am back!

Well, it has been a while since I took the first step into Blogging.  I had been having doubts as to whether I should continue, but seeing another Blog made me realise that I want to express myself in words/pictures as well (I have always loved to write - dabbled in journalism during school/college days - being the Pony Club Editor for our local paper and also Arts Editor at Birmingham Poly, which involved both cinema and theatre reviews!!  I loved sitting in a cinema in the middle of the day, with just journalists for company, and attempting to write notes in the dark!).

This is the Blog that has inspired me.  I love her style and enthusiasm for messing around with inks.

I am actually busy in my craft room - just made a birthday card for a friend's hubby and now working on ATCs.  More posts to follow.

My very first post

OMG!!!  What do I type??  I have no idea what direction this will take me in.  All I know that is I love to craft - my level of skill and inspiration is a lot lower than many of the wonderful bloggers I have seen so far, but that will surely improve as I get more experience.

I will be entering various challenges/swaps, so then there will be more links on here.

Crafting is not my only interest - so please do not be confused by the variety of subjects covered.  That is me!!

Must get out for a run with my dogs now, so will be back soon to add more and get this blog looking a bit more exciting.
